- £45,000 per year * Permanent * Full-time Senior Environmental Test Engineer Location: Fareham | Type: Full-time, Permanent | Salary: Dependent on Experience Push UAV performance to the limit. We’re redefining autonomous air logistics – developing self-flying cargo aircraft built to perform in the harshest conditions. Our UAVs have already delivered medical aid, supported wildfire operations, and even flown in Antarctica.We’re now looking for a Senior Environmental Test Engineer to lead the testing that proves our aircraft can handle anything the world throws at them.
The Role
You’ll design and run environmental test campaigns covering vibration, temperature, shock, humidity, and EMC/EMI – validating the reliability, safety, and endurance of critical UAV systems. Working with design, systems, and flight teams, you’ll turn real-world test data into engineering improvements that shape the next generation of autonomous aircraft.
What You’ll Do
Plan and execute environmental qualification tests to DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and DEF STAN 00-35.Design and oversee test rigs and fixtures for components and subsystems.Conduct stress and endurance testing (vibration, thermal cycling, fatigue).Analyse and report results, feeding insights back into design.Promote safety, accuracy, and process excellence across all testing.
About You
Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.Proven environmental or structural test experience in aerospace or complex systems.Strong understanding of instrumentation, DAQ, and test setups.Practical, analytical, and hands-on with a passion for testing innovation.Join a team pushing UAV technology to new limits – and proving it in the real world.
